Member of the Board of Directors of the Stock Exchange of Colombia; Banco AV Villas; Colombian Builders & Constructors Association, Banking Association of Colombia, Colombian Trusts Association; Iberoamericana University, Territorial Pension Funds, National Health Funds, among others.
Ms. Silva has unrivaled experience and expertise in a diverse number of fields.
As an expert in the finance word, Ms. Silva has run and managed investment funds for over USD $3 billion and assets valued at over USD $9 billion. She participated in the emission and placement of shares for companies such as Ecopetrol, Isagen, and Grupo Aval as well as designed complex fiduciary schemes for the largest pension funds of the country including that of Ecopetrol, Banco de la Republica, and Empresa de Energia de Bogota. Further on, she structured investments schemes for the Colombian national health funds and the mass transit systems of several major cities in Colombia.
As an expert in M&A, she possesses substantial experience in capital trust structures and in designing debt restructurings, foreign investment schemes, and public-private partnership development projects.
Finally, as an expert in real estate development, she has managed assets for over USD $500 million, and developed over 10 million square feet.
Seven years ago, in February 2010, Martha Juliana founded her own investment bank and thus SILK was born. Today Ms. Silva serves as its CEO and she is currently leading a series of acquisitions and strategic alliances between regional companies and foreign investors to bring in investments and promote development within the region.
